What are the club rules?

Are guests allowed?
– Guests / non-members are allowed to observe. They may not shoot.

Can I buy a day pass?
NO, our membership is very affordable.

Can I get a prorated or discounted membership?
NO, all memberships expire Dec 31. They are never discounted or prorated.

Can I get a ‘Handgun Club’ only membership?
NO, Handgun Club is always in addition to basic club membership.

What firearms are allowed?
– Depends on the range. In general, any legal firearm may be used at our facility in the proper range/bay.
– This includes muzzle loading firearms.

Do you rent firearms/sell ammunition?
– We don’t rent firearms or sell ammunition. You must bring your own firearms and ammunition to use at the club. There are no firearms stored at the club.

What hours is the range open?
– The range is open 6am to 10pm. Shooting may only take place during daylight hours, after 7am.
– We are open for members every day of the year with the exception of events. Members should always check the events calendar before coming to the club.

How long does my membership take to process?
– Online membership is instant, mail in memberships can take several weeks. Please wait at least four weeks before inquiring about mail-in membership status.

I need proof of Handgun Club membership for RCMP, how do I get that?
– Membership letters can be requested from the secretary: info@selkirkgameandfish.ca
– Some members have reported that the RCMP is accepting our automated membership emails as proof of membership.

Is there staff on the range?
– NO, we do not have staff. Our club is managed by volunteers. Contact us through email if you have questions – info@selkirkgameandfish.ca

Can I come and visit the club to see what you offer?
– Visitors are welcome during most events. Please bring ear and eye protection.

Do you offer training for new shooters?
– At this time we do not offer training.

Do I need a PAL to be a member?
– No, a PAL is not required to be a member. Members may join to shoot with friends using their firearms.

Can I rent the range for an event?
– At this time we are only renting to provincial or municipal organizations and recognized sports groups.
