Keep the range and shooting tables clean for other members.

Club Rules section 13

Our volunteers are finding a lot of garbage including broken glass on the range. This is not acceptable, shooting at glass, rocks, cement computers or appliances can be reason for us to cancel your membership! This behaviour is unsafe and creates a dangerous environment for others.

Members are required to bring their own targets. You can read more about Acceptable Targets here: Acceptable Targets

Targets must be off the ground on a target stand. Thrown clay targets are only allowed on Range 3 (Trap Range) and can only be shot when no one is on Range 1 or 2. Targets must not be set up on club furniture (tables, benches etc). Destruction of club property is cause for loss of membership.

Range Maintenance – Possible Closures

The club has hired a contractor to replace the roofs on ranges 2 & 3. They will need to shut down the range while this work is ongoing. We don’t know what days the work will be done so it may happen that the range will be closed without notice. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Shotgun Use at the Range

Main Club

  • Shotguns may only be used on range 2 and 3 (Trap Range).
  • RANGE 3 (Trap Range) may only be used when ranges 2 & 3 are not being used (empty). This is required for member safety and by Manitoba CFO. Shooting must be down range and not into the side berms.
  • If you see members using range 3 (Trap Range) while range 1 or 2 are in use PLEASE STOP THEM.
  • Clay targets may be placed at the bottom of the berm on range 2, thrown (airborne) targets are not allowed on range 2.

Range 4 (Handgun Club Members only)

  • At Range 4 shotguns may only be used on bays 1 through 5. Bay 6 (With the shelter) is for handgun and rimfire cartridges only. NO shotguns or centrefire rifles may be used on Range 4 bay 6.
  • Shooting must be down range and not into the side berms.
  • Clay targets may be placed at the bottom of the berm on range 4, thrown (airborne) targets are not allowed on any bay at Range 4.

MTS Emails Blocked

We have noticed that many members who registered online with an ‘@mymts’ email address are not receiving membership emails. It appears that our messages are being blocked by MTS.

If you have an ‘@mymts’ email and haven’t seen your registration or renewal package, please contact our Acting Secretary – info@selkirkgameandfish.ca and let us know if you have an alternate email you can use for our system.

We are sorry but this is out of our control.

If you are having trouble logging in and renewing, please try the “Membership Portal” an incorrect link was shared in the cancellation/renewal emails.

Check Your Junk Mail!

Many members are complaining about not receiving club information. Please check your junk / spam mail folder. Our online system sends out club information seconds after an invoice is paid so if you don’t get the email it probably went in your junk folder.

Our membership volunteer is trying to answer your questions but it seems that no one is getting our responses!

IF YOU HAVEN’T GOT YOUR INVOICE OR CLUB INFO PLEASE CHECK JUNK MAIL
